Smart Structural Health Monitoring and Control Laboratory (SSHMC)

Smart Structural Health Monitoring and Control Laboratory (SSHMC) was established in 2024 and mainly focus on the prediction the remaining life of structures in Civil engeening, such as a bridges, railroads, roads, viaducts or buildings. However, all developped tools and knowledges can be extended to more applications such for crack detection on pipes, flow, .etc

3 Research groups have be established around

  • Advanced Modelling and Control: The main focuses this group are the Finite Element Modelling under vibration, dynamic, fatigue and thermo-statics excitations. Structures often be built using Advanced Lidar embarked technology to interface with the FE and the Machine learning software’s. It focus on the properties characterization at multiscale level ( meso-macro approach) and Data analysis (built from Non-destructive Testing facilities)
  • Digital Twin & Advanced Decision: The objective of this group are on the hybrid strategies for optimization, improvement of the prediction concept, building models for control and monitoring, Machine learning , artificial intelligent.
  • Non-destructive testing & Acquisition: This group is focus on building experimental environment for data acquisition, structural measurement (for motion, vibration , signals, stresses..), instrumentation of the tests, coupling electronics sensors devises, …etc.
